Power Steering Fluid

Just been giving the engine bay a going over & noticed that my power steering fluid is jet black in colour. I'm sure this isn't supposed to be like this & I am wondering if it has ever been changed in it's lifetime.

Anyone have a handy guide on how the heck I would go about changing it?

Changed mine by using a Turkey baster to remove as much as possible, then just added the new fluid,(you can use automatic gearbox fluid which is what i used!!). About a week later i did the same thing and now its as good as new!!
Bleed the system by starting the engine and and turning the wheel lock to lock about 4 times, then check to see if it needs topping up!!
It should be a pinkish colour, definately not black!!
