2 12" rockford fosgate subs with a amp to power them
a set of rockford fosgate 6 by 9's
IS IT GONNA BE PUMPINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

TBH, unless u have alot off amps and subs then they arent really needed, wot they do is draw charge from the power cap if its bassy, this relieves the strain on the battery and makes the note not lose its bass.

The best way is to stick wot u have got in already, and turn it up at nite, if the lights flash with the bass, then a power cap or extra battery could be used.

Im running 2 amps, used to be 3 and a 10" sub and have no problem, for the money they aint worth it if they aint gonna be used to there full capacity.

If your so concerened get an extra battery

Yeh, i wouldnt get a power cap with the kit your buying, u probably wouldnt notice the difference to be honest.

But if u play your stereo without the engine running alot, u may notice a big battery drain, and would therefore be better using that money to change the standard battery and get the biggest battery u can afford

As said basically above, a capacitor in this form simply attempts to smooth out the flow so the power should be available more easily. A 1 farad capacitor is huge and hence why it can be used for this, I am sure you don't need one for your purpose - OTT!

Hei.

The capacitor helps when 14+ volts and the amp's watts aren't enough. It won't be needed for daily use, but helps on sudden high loads when the amp can't deliver enough power. I don't have it. Too little value for money.

The cap drains power from your battery and then when the bass drops low and loud, the cap releases the stored power providing your amps with a smooth flow of power.

As said before, they're really just a shiny item to stick in your boot, you wont notice any difference, if you do its purely in your head (and wallet) The only difference it would make would be in a competition system but those guys already have uprated alternators and usually run a split charge system, eliminating any use for one in the first place.

If you have been advised to but one because your lights are dimming or whatever, get an better alternator or get it rewound, get a better battery or uprate all your cabling etc...
