Heres my uno about a month ago
im waiting for a new boot, hopefully a mk1 UT
got my turbo dials fitted and when my sills and arches are finished on go the turbo arches :yum:

Forgot i could look here, That is my old and 1st uno turbo i owned i loved that car it was lowered,abarth here and there was lovely and smooth to drive,and lots of red, i sold it to wentane in stockton for a punto gt which was not as much fun! i used to call it devil as the reg G66 from a distance looked like 666.Anyway glad you have looked after her was always a nice example and youve kept it looking great happy motoring.

Looking further into it you have done a lot of restoration to her!!
it seems the past owner/s have not cared for it the way i or you are doing now.
I sold her in 1999 to wentane in stockton got some old pics but not that good

hi guys

i need to ask a question. and wondered who can help.
so. i have a fiat uno of the 1988. 99.9cc fire.
now so far i have installed 13" rally tires, and some sound.
now next wednesday i will be installing fk bucket seats.
now i wanted to get a bigger engine but remain stabdard, i mean keep a fiat engine. does turbo exist for a fire engie 99.9cc. if not what engine should i install to keep the standard.

None for 999c you could stick in a 1.4ie standard engine in but its a different gearbox if i remember right! or a 1.3 or 1.4 mk2 turbo engine and box

There ARE turbo kits for the FIRE engines! Check out the faq's for the Cinq Turbo (which use the 1108/ 1242 FIRE engines) to see what's involved:

Alternatively, both the 1108cc and 1242cc FIRE engines will drop straight in place of the original 999cc unit (an exhaust spacer is needed for the 1242 manifold) and will hook up to the Uno gearbox. You can run both off the Weber 32TLF carburetor though you may need to re-jet and also fit an electric fuel pump.

Lots of options available from a bigger FIRE engine swap right up to swapping in an entire Uno Turbo engine. However, if you're going to swap in a UT engine or turbo charge a FIRE then it's vital that you also upgrade the suspension and brakes as well.

heres a photo of my uno. Its called Johnson, (dont ask why cos i dont know). Hes just a standard 93 uno. No fancy stuff. The bumpers are screwed on and theres a few dints and bumps. Suprisingly everything works perfect on it. The brakes are work really well, the handbrakes a bit rubbish but it still works. The only new parts the car has had is a new exhaust, new battery and new alternator.

- rust at both back fenders, rust at the end doorside metal lining and rust at rear left wheelhouse.
- dirty old doortrim and car seat
- small oil leak at the lower block engine
- 3rd gear synchro problem

Hey, uno owners... Just "bought" a 87 Mk1 Uno Turbo 3 days ago. Havent taken my own pics yet but you can se one of the older owners profile on this danish car site :

It has a complete Mk2 interior conversion!, black leather "headleining"(new to come after sunroof is gone) , original fiat/momo leather steering-weel, cup mirrior, cleaned/shaved, white front "indicators" + punto side, + other stuf is on the way, incl heat in the car!!! =) ...

It runs with stok ic, oil cooler, 0,4bar at the this moment, monza dump, magnum by supersprint exhaust, and as a nice feature it "prepared" for a 2,0t fiat croma... Hope you guys like my liltle new ride, writting errors are free Peace out frome DK...

You bought an uno in primer, atleast you can decide what colour you want. Personally I think those mirrors look awful and I would lose the red wiper blade. I like otherwise.

I agree with Pottleflump - those mirrors don't suit the Uno at all. They're a rounded design suitable for blobby shaped cars, whereas the Uno is angular and requires more square shaped mirrors. And that red wiper blade looks out of place.

Those seats though are gorgeous! :yum: And quite unusual to do a full mk2 interior conversion. Most people normally do just the seats and and maybe the door cards (the mk2 cards only fit late model mk1's unless the doors are changed).

What colour are you planning to have it painted?

Thanks.. Im also very glad for the new car, "specialy" couse of al the work and the mods, got it for a good price also therefore it have some small projects to made.. Im thinking about getting it painted in a purple metalic like the engine bay, hard to see on pics but its a quite nice color irl...

I dont know about the mirrors, dosnt follow the rest of the lines, but imo better than stock, the red wiper blade is gone dough

Thinkin about a spec. badboylook and a fmic like this, sryy for my paint dgi mod skills =)

Stock mirrors look right, those blobby mirrors look like something out of max power, very wrong indeed. Please don't paint it purple, no Uno should ever be purple.
