Off Topic possible project

looking at possibly buying this 2001 punto mia , if I can get it cheap as a project and if I know what the problem is!

this is what he says: " intermitant starting fault it has lots of money spent on it trying to find the fault this is what has been replaced new ecu new coil packs new crank sensor body ecu has been checked . fault is conected to fuel gauge because if the gauge moves it starts and runs fine if it does not move and the empty light flashes then it turns over but does not start"

soo any ideas anyone?!

Don't bother with a punto Mia, its only worth about £500 selling will be a bitch and if the fault is connected to the body computer that could cost over £300
