Technical Possible dumb question no. 1

Just seen in the centre of front bumper (1.3MJ) a small circular hole that maybe missing a cover, it has a small metal bar that moves forward & back.

Please tell me what it is/does?

Can't find anything in the handbook, also have I lost a cover or is it usually exposed?

Nope, underneath on the lower lip of the bodywork, it's not the square panel for the towing bracket, this one is round.

In the centre within the black bit should be a round fiat badge


Then lower down on either there's the fog lamps which may have a blanking plate depending on the model

Don't think so as it provides access to an adjuster of some sort, it's too perfectly formed so I am currently convinced it's an OE design.
