Hi All

Just purchased privately a Punto 1.2 Easy 2013.

The odometer is flashing and the battery has drained over the last few days. After researching, it looks like this could be the Blue and Me module. I've replaced the battery with a new one but am now concerned that this battery will drain.

I'm getting conflicting feedback on where the Blue and Me module is on the car, I've checked under the seat and cannot see anything. The only cables are hidden under a black covering with cables running to to underneath seat. There is also one cable, (very thin), going to nothing.

I've also read that the module is near the glovebox.

Not sure if related but the radio has no volume, works okay playing CD's

Could somebody tell me the location of the Blue and Me module please

hey, i had to create an account to comment because i have the exact same situation happening.
odometer blinking and battery drain even on a new battery.

i measured and there is a .4A drain on the battery with nothing turned on. removing the F01 maxi fuse in the engine compartment eliminates any drainage.
F01 apparently is "dashboard power, standard functions", which is not very helpful to pinpoint the problem.

this is as far as i got. no idea where to go now to get more specific into the problem/solution.

Just had mine returned from repair. Flashing odometer now none flashing, and Blue and Me options now appearing on Radio. Still no volume from the radio and the steering wheel control buttons are intermittant.

did you not manage to figure out what was causing the problem? i wanted to troubleshoot it at home as much as possible, without sending to the shop.

best of luck, let me know when you can.
i'm convinced my issue is with the blue&me module and disconnecting it will stop the battery drain. but we bought this car to flip it over, so we'll have to fix it or get it replaced eventually either way.

disconnected the module today. the parasitic drain is gone. now i wonder: can this module be repaired with a software update or whatever? or is it a hardware issue? if its software, i might try to do it at home, along with the proxi alignment and whatnot.

Nope it’s a hardware issue, if I had to put money on it I suspect it’s an electrolytic capacitor issue given the capacitor plague during the 2000s and fiat buying mostly cheap parts for these things

Hi All, I have just done the same thing here assuming the battery was on its way out. Took it to Battery World and they tested the battery and said that the battery was underperforming (stats said 468, but should be over 680 - whatever that means) so i replaced the battery costing $400 AUD for AGM because of the Stop/Start function.

After discovering this forum and reading up a bit, I tested the Blue & Me call function button in the car and its not doing anything - Radio works fine, dont know about CD as i dont use it. I am located in Australia so I believe that I have to send the unit away to the UK. Can anyone confirm this?

Look forward to your responses and thanks in advance for your help.

Kyle

$400 au seems mad I know that the exchange rate for aus is lower but you’re still talking ? £200 which is a lot of money even for a stop start battery.

as for blue and me, my recommendation would be to spend your money on removing it completely get any half decent aftermarket radio it’s likely to a lot better than the standard radio and allow things like music streaming via Bluetooth and other features that blue and me won’t allow

I believe I have taken it out, can anyone confirm this is the unit? I think the radio and cd player still work without the unit. Will think about the replacement.
Thanks

Its not worth getting repaired.

I have portable bluetooth speakers powered off the cigarette lighter, and stream music from my phone. Its a lot better than the Blue & Me and a lot cheaper than buying and installing a music player to replace the radio.

Unrelated..
But my sister has a VERY similar failure in a modern Citroen. MPV

Battery drains overnight, told its a 5 hour process to access

Been in 2 different garages,

Both say you need a main dealer as updates will be required

Oh the joys..

My 2008 punto has steering audiocontrols that are a bit flaky,

It's got the USB IN glove box kit, all factory fit
