Wow, the difference a professional polish makes, took two days and finished with ceramic coating, looks great now

Sure, as it is Matt black apparently it is the worst possible colour to polish effectivley, so including extra labour time for that and the ceramic coat as an option, it was 160 euro, I think that's pretty good value as it took nearly two solid days labout

You'd probably pay £150+ just for a machine polish in most places in the UK so that's good value

Aye, I'm looking to seal my Coupes paintwork & at 160 euro about £139 I'd jump at that. Local places up here are hundreds of pounds. I'll see after the lock down, life's too short & all that, I may just go for it what ever the cost, but at an educated guess that's not going to any time soon.

It's really altered the paint job, I watched him finish the hood cover yesterday outside my house as he didn't want to lower the hood without understanding the mechanism. It went from okay to deep mirror finish, but just that part (guess half square meter) took him nearly an hour. Very impressed.

One thing that really bugs me about living in Spain is the total lack of respect for other peoples cars when it comes to opening doors and parking. If you look closely at the drivers door there is quite a noticeable ding, it's quite round and reasonably shallow, perhaps 3 cm across. Had anyone had any experience of either pulling or pushing this type of dent out from a barchetta for skin? I need to get the door card off to lube the window so I think I will have access from the inside or is it double skinned?

Cheers

When I bought my B there were 2 dents in drivers door. I had Dent Devils remove them. They didn't need to remove door card they just use flat tools that slide down under the seal. Very good job and not visible.

It's a really strange thing, I can't find anyone in Mallorca offering a mobile dent removal service, I reckon they would be millionaires by the end of the first year, not a car here that's not had a parking tussle.

It's a good idea but I didn't do it! A guy in Palma who specialises in polish for super yatchs and cars.

Re the Matt, I didn't actually mean Matt I meant flat black, or mom metallic. Doh
