How does it go back on ???!
Just can't find it in YouTube or Google

Also does a scudo have a kill switch (that cuts fuel like the Dakota seems to..many thanx...

It probably does. If it does and it went off there will be just 6 V insted of 12 V on the fuel pump power line, at the pump end. Or no voltage at all, but the line in the fuse box will have 12 V on the fuel pump fuse.

If you need one and can't find one to buy, you can make yourself one out of steel wire. Get a steel wire the diameter and lenght you need and heat it up. The fire on a cooking stove is good enough. Put it on the fire and it will be red hot immediately. Then, using pliers of course, and with great care, you can shape it and give it the form you need. It cools down quickly (not so you can touch it, but so it can brake when you force it into shape), so you need to heat if - shape it - heat it again - continue shaping it and so. I made myself 3 injector retaining clips like this, they work great.

These things are used in the so called quick release connections on the rad. Sadly Ive never made any QR couplings seal after release. The clips come with new hoses. Use new O rings AND a good sealant on reassembly. If you need a new QR coupling from fiat I hope you have a spare arm and a spare leg. There must be other cars that use the clips may be you can find a used hose or even rad. The clips only need to be lifted about 5mmto unlock the QR. I like the idea of making one if you can. The hoses come with new QR elbow coupling complete.

Ah I must apologise. I thoiugh this was from the water system. it s now celar to me that Im mistaken. Please ignore me!
No, you are right! It is from the water system.
It's me, I was off-topic and I was telling about the spring clips I made myself for the injectors.
But yours is a very useful info actually, that clips come with new hose in the cooling system. It's so frustrating when you buy a new part that's missing a 'little thing' like that, which is actually essential. And even more frustrating when you cannot find it separately to buy because 'oh, that's a little thing, we can't get it'.

Just thought, I may have one for a Panda, Im not sure but will check in the morning. If I do I could post it, Im not sure how long it would take. I may have chucked the old one out, but I do often keep things that still have life left. And yes I know you are some way off from me.

Hi panda nut I am in aus think you are UK? But omg definitely would have...
Hello all have been to several shops haven't found one not clever enough to heat and shape one

Is it possible to to cut the end off and use a hose clamp? I was going to but am a bit scared about it
When I bought it it turns out it didn't have the original anyway just a twisted wire so it just won't stay on

Can I cut it off and use hose clamp? It's king enough for sure just don't know if they are like that these clamp things for a reason
Couldn't source a hose easily with the clip so far

How about cutting it

Thanx for all repliee

You could use a non rigid wire (so you won't need to shape one like the original clip) and twist its ends together, to stay in place.
And yes, you can totally have just a hose and a clamp there. If you cut that hose, the easiest is to cut it after the metallic end, see if it's long enough to go to the expansion tank connector. If not, surely you can find a longer hose, same diameter and put it in place using clamps.

Re the coolant QR hose I have had issues with leaks due to the rubber sealing ring inside the QR hoses on Fiat Doblo 1.6 MJs, as you say almost second mortgage from Fiat I needed several as oil had contaminated cooling system so once removed they would go back, it was cheaper to buy an Oring making kit from Loctite.

QR does not mean QR. They are a TOTAL PITA to get off and in my experience once removed you need an entire new fitting. A new bottom hose for a Panda 169 was £124+vat three or 4 years ago. Thankfully a new hose with the QR fitting from Gates was £10.96. I need to get a new fitting for Noop so I can change the coolant. Alas I dont earn enough to be able to afford a Fiat part for this. My bank own won't extend my credit that far.

Wow Im sorry about the huge delay. I have rummaged and I must have slung the whole QR as far out to sea as I could. do have the hose. and no you cannot do without the QR its the elbow that the hose fixes to its a male end and a male end to accept the hose. Are you still stuck? Gates hose 05-3588 was the Panda one. If you send the exact size of the clip I will look here and see if one can be sourced. We have a decent and very cheap breakers just a mile away.

If hose goes on to bottom of expansion tank just cut the fitting off the hose amd use a jubilee type hose clamp
I have seen that modification, but maybe a piece if locking wire threaded through the clip hole and around once the hose is pushed into place so it goes across the groove that the clip would normally secure against, then a couple of twists of the wire to secure.
I agree they are a pain and probably only of benefit at the factory during assembly.:(

Yep provided someone hasn't lost or displaced the o ring inside the fitting , if they have it it will leak. Plus if the daft fitting isnt held on to stub tube far enough to squish the o ring ...it will leak.
Totally agree they are just to make production quicker on factory line.

Plus please use coolant not just plain water....state of cooling system is....rust
