it keeps flashing up on my dash and it's not in the manual?
my car keeps hesitating all of the time and this light is flashing up (the orange one)
any help is greatly appreciated...

IIRC it's the engine management light...and not normally a good thing if it comes on.
Best to get it checked out asap..

The yellow engine shaped one??
If so take it to a reputable garage to get it checked, could be anything to do with engine management!!
Will need pluging to diagnostic computer

engine management - i thought it might be that...
it's misfiring as well - or backfiring whatever it is - making a loud pop noise when i accelerate...

its your engine management light dan, its because you have a newer 1.2 right? the dash lights are slightly different to mine.
get a diag done. its obviously limiting the power to stop it causing damage hense the missfire as its overfueling slighty.

yeh thats the engine management light iv got a newer 1.2 and had that show up on mine while a while back. With mine all it was, was the spark leads needed changing so was causing it to stuggle and make the engine management light flash.

it's gotten worse now so she's parked up and i'm going to have to get her to my local fiat garage to see what's wrong...
no problems for 50,000 miles and 5 years, and now i've got a problem. i guess 5 years is about right for things to start going wrong. fingers crossed it won't cost me too much cos i'm skint as it is

Dan, it could be something as simple as a popped HT or buggered lead.. although it could be much worse. If it needs a service, then I'd do that first, and check if there's any holes in exhaust, as it may be blowing.. causing the lambda sensor to incorrectly read thus giving you tne engine management light..
Try simple things first mate.

Cheers for your advice mate.
I had a new exhaust about 2 months ago and that's been fine since, i replaced the spark plugs about 2 months ago also, and changed the oil and filter recently too, all been running fine. add to the bargain 4 brand new tyres i've spent a lot on her recently trying to keep her on the road.
your point on the exhaust - it is popping etc and blowing - but the engine is really struggling even when idle so i'm initially thinking engine...
i checked the spark plugs and they seem ok, so yeah it could be the leads. - how would i be able to tell though?
i think i am definately at the stage to get it on a diags machine so she's going in tomorrow AM - i didn't risk driving it to work this morning incase i do more damage.

quick update - got it sorted - cracked HT lead - fiat replaced all 4 of them for £70 so it's done now, so happy days again

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM MINE CAME ON A FORTNITE AGO HAD THE RAC CHECK IT WAS A BLOWN HT LEAD IT WAS POPPIN AND FARTIN AND ONLY RUNNIN ON THREE CYLINDERS HOPE THIS IS OF SOME HELP
