Welcome to Fiat Forum,
Normally there is a center piece and two side panels. They serve a number of purposes that can include noise reduction, cooling (airflow control) and protection against water splash and road debris. Best to replace it if you intend keeping the van.

Re: Plastic splash guards under the engine

Hi I made up one to fit under my passengers side on my camper van , to help protect the electrics from water splash from a black plastic garden compost tray bought some clips from Fiat hot air gun to bent the one side up job done .

Definitely not worth making one if you are in Europe, complete trays are very cheap on ebay from Poland, Latvia and Estonia.

I don’t need one, but I’m interested why you say they can be cheaper over there, do they not bother with them?

Ah, thanks. I bought a “genuine” VW load liner for my new car that came from that neck of the woods, and as far as I can see it is actually “genuine” but massively cheaper than the stealers.
