Hello all,

I am not sure how it happened but the transparant plastic screen that sits in front of the instrument cluster to protect it from dust is broken in my Tipo. Does anyone know if this can be replaced without replacing the complete instrument cluster?

I also wonder whether the 1.4 i.e. engine with injection has a hot air intake hose. There is an empty opening on the back of my car's air filter and also on the exhaust manifold, but no pipe that connects the two. Is that normal?

Hope you know more than I do :D

Hi

In that era the hot air hose was a silver corrugated hose.. which crumbled extremely easily.. at 3 to 5 years in service

So yours was probably discarded one summer 10 to 15 years ago

Look on ePER for the part numbers

Tube and dust screen ;)

I take it you have dials.. not digital ? :)

Thank you for replying :)

I sure have the dials. Will look up on eper.

Would you reckon the hot air tube is superfluous?

No problem :)

Hot air tube .. it has a benefit in winter.. but of no use now ;)
( it uses a Flap.. within the airbox to control flow.. dependant on temperature
If flap doesnt move with temperature.. then the hose is redundant )
