Are you saying im fat, dave?

Anyway, quoted figures are just a guess really! As standard, the uno and the cinq are approx the same bhp. Cinq runs 104hp from VAD and the uno runs 105hp from the factory. Both cars have had similar tuning mods done to them except that the uno has had the boot raised which is where we see a big difference in power!

The uno has a superspring system, the cinq has a performance system. The uno has no cat, the cinq has a de-cat. The uno has an induction kit, the cinq has an induction kit, The Uno DOESNT have an enlarged throttle body, the cinq does. The uno is running approx 0.7/0.8 bar, the cinq is running 0.5 bar. etc

They are modified very similar under the bonnet, main difference being the boost.

I think this ones really gonna be down to drivers ability. Alex probs has the advantage because he knows his car backwards when it comes to driving it as hes owned it for a while now! As for me, well, Beau says it all :p

However, theoreticaly I could up the boost to 1 bar on the day :p The standard engine can take it... just whether I want to be driving it home or not really :)

aslong as you do what i said before alex and dont just light up the tyres like last time you`ll be fine. cinq will spin up more than the uno which could be the deciding factor. aslong as alex gets the power down i think he`ll clintch it.

how about i throw the rex into it?? :D

i think it'll all come down to who gets the best launch (as it usually does in a 1/4mile).

what tyre sizes does each car have on the front? i would guess the cinq is going to be tricky to prevent wheel spin due to the tyre size, shorter ratios and lack of weight, plus it'll change earlier. in the uno it'll be easier to get a good launch.

Oh I'm going to Pod on Sunday, would like to see this, may even take mine up for a swansong before I sell it just to see how quick it is and how much potential it stil has.

What will be quicker, hard to say, but what may be more telling is terminal speed, cos if you cross line after 16secs at 90ish you know your start sucked, but if you do a 15 at 80ish you get great start but car is tailing off, so gives an indecation of what car is faster in normal cicumstances as drag strips are one offs really.

if i hit 15's i'll be over the moon :D

Just give it all 7000rpm in every gear, thats if its like mine which pulls very very strongly round to limiter, tho Emma's which to be fair we haven't had on rolling road yet has no benefit of taking it above 6000rpm, you'll know where you're car make most of its power.

Its definatly all in the launch with these 2 cars. The Unos runnign 185/55s on 13" alloys. The cinq is running 195/45s on 13" alloys.

Im finding it hard to get good starts on the 13s. its just too easy to spin . Its very hard to get that balance. Its either stuck wit lag or spin. when it was on 15s it was easier to get a quick start but it was noticably slower!

either way, ital be fun :D Im not really in it for times or to see wha tthe car can do, I just wanna get to the end of the stip before alex does :p
