Had a bad few days as you probably have realised but been looking forward to watching the rock tonight, then:

I don't remember it having hostages in?

It's about terrorists but I've not noticed them doing this sort of thing before, i.e. when we invaded Iraq they didn't stop showing all war films. I have ever respect for Ken Bigley and his family, however, I haven't a clue how this is related.

Can I not watch Die Hard again as comparisons to 9/11 will be made because it has hostages? How political.....

It's a stupid film about stupid terrorists trying to blow up somewhere in the US and Sean Connery saves the day with Nicholas Cage, how is not showing it/showing it going to affect anybody?

Diezel and Pascoe is on and somebody was murdered, well, somebody was shot in Nottingham yesterday, how disrespectful (using the same method of thought).

Why does everything have to be so political? It's got nothing to do with it has it?! It's just a stupid action film with the normal action heros killing bad guys in Alcatraz.

They locked the tourists in the cells of Alcatraz, can't remember if they killed any but reckon they did.

Are you sure?? I don't remember that, oh maybe I do. I guess that explains why but i still think it's political correctness gone mad - I mean does this mean they can never show films like that again or is 2 weeks enough time?!

I've got CSI on 5... Sliding Doors on BBC3... Dark Angel on Sci-Fi... nothing on the sky movie channels...

On my uni connection I just get 1-5 + some German channels randomly, was told it was cable TV, it is, just crap!

Maybe I am being really selfish in moaning about this, I am not sure, I just don't see how it can help any matters whatsoever.

The Rock is one of my all time fave films! No hostages were killed. But i think the fact that it involves hostages is the reason why it has been taken off air

I agree it is stupid to not show a movie because of current events. In a few weeks they will show the film anyway once the media hype has ended!
