well ive decided to try and tame this beast.
ive dabbled with PS before but always found it frustrating that i couldnt do what i wanted.
to be honest more down to me trying to skim tutorials in typical man stylee ;)

so any tips appreciated.
i see there are no shortage of PS sites on the net

Depends what you're doing, I just play about with it and if there's something I can't do I find a tutorial. Mind you it's ****e using a laptop as I need a proper mouse I find.

i've never been able to use photoshop, got myself a tutor now - she just says fart about with it, pressing buttons and seeing what does what. Seems to work.

splat!

i learned by just messing with it., particularly selicting areas with lasso, magnetic etc, also clone stamping and working with layers.,.
i often see photography magazines giving photoshop tutorial cds with the mags if thats any good to ya.,(y) .,.,

I learnt how to use it by playing with a OOOOOOOLD copy that was sitting on my first PC (90MHz (y) )

it really is just to play about with it, set yourself a task and try everything you can to do it. Remember you can always undo ;)

thinking i may try and get a cheap graphics tablet?? seems more suited

Get in there Tablets are the way forward but i wouldnt buy a very cheep one. I use Wacom.
One thing i will say though is once you use a pen you will get very frustrated if you have to use a mouse i cant use a mouse any more. Also if you do get a tablet stick with it, it is hard to get used too but well worth the effort.
If you need any specific help PM me with a link to your question as i will forget too keep checking here.

LOL just seen how oooooooold this thread is
