I live in the south of Ireland and just got back from a golfing trip to Norwick, hired a 2L alfa 156, class car. I couldn't get over the price of petrol, 90p per liter. How the hell do you guys manage, I went through £60 in 4 days on juice which for me was about 100 euro. It's 84cent a liter over here that's about 50p sterling, me thinks you guys are getting shafted. On another subject how does the 2L Alfa 147 square up to the Bravo HGT, I presume it's the same engine that's in the 2L 156 which a brillent engine.

Shafted

Petrol? That's the least of our worries. The buggers want to start charging us for taking away our rubbish! On a lighter note, we can afford the stupid fuel prices because we are all sooooo rich.

The 147 is a lovely car, but doesn't yet have a engine to match the HGT. I believe there is a GTA verion out next year :)

Re: Shafted

No big deal about paying for the cost of your rubbish being collected, places over here in Ireland have being paying that for a long time, and rightly so too, you make the rubbish so it should be your responsibilty to have it properly disposed off, should encourage recycling.

We pay council tax over her, which as the name suggests, pays for all of the local council's services and the local police force etc. For a lot of us, having our rubbish collected once a week is the only direct service we get. I think we'd all like to live in a greener environment, but I'd rather see more cash from the government to increase recycling etc. Paying per bag or whatever they are devising is a bit like paying for your petrol. Your wage gets taxed then you pay another 80% tax on your fuel. Double whammy!
