my 'MATE' has decided to go through insurance with the crash rather than me sort it out myself so thats 2 claims, thinking about a blackbox and MAYBE a change of vehicle for a diesel or something, had enough of family members / close friends moaning at me for wasting / spending my money on my car.

Black boxes arent too bad, ive had mine a year now and havnt had any issues with it. The occasional trip above 100 and havnt heard anything from the company!

why get rid of it when youve spent all that money on it

i was close to getting rid of mine early this year when i got my fail sheet, but then i had a long think naaaaaaah its worth fixing and keeping! the mk2 is such a fun car and probably the most easiet car to mod!

but your car your choice

2 crashes in 6 months :( one was serious other one was a car park bump... but live and learn and im looking at getting another classic mini as i loved it for my first car! and only £1200 insurance. also keep there value, tbh, once it gets to renewal im going to deffo shop around first. because if i can find one under 2000 ill keep the punto! if not then yeah its bye bye :( will be sad but <3 it

you gotta love puntos despite their little dippy faults like electrics and slight mechanical faults, but even that they great diy cars - i rarely use garages these days i rather get down in the fun and do it myself least that way i know the job is done properly and of course hell of a lot cheaper! :p

but your punto looks good man be ashame to get rid of it :(

Yeahh i know man i mean ive still got plans for it.. but its at the point where im like is it worth it now :( i mean once ive finished the plans in my head it would be a dream. i do love my punto, it gets me abit of attention and a few people love it and then theres haters obviously. but when your insurance takes half your wages its kinda depressing :( i mean ive still got another page full of modifications to do... haha

thanks! even been looking at air ride suspension (idiot)

Nick the suspension off an old Citroen BX, they were quality, great bouncy castle :p

yeah fcuk the haters! :) to me and always will be a car is a car if it gets from A to B safely it's just as good as any car, yeah puntos are known for their faults and not the most fastest car in its range but as someone told me the other day who cares it's not like you can do those sort of speeds nowadays considering the toughness on speeding and high grow in mobile speed cameras and traffic light cameras etc.

and whats the point anyway? yeah i've done speeding in my mk2 around 113mph but i did that as a test when i first got it, and i rarely speed now

above is off topic but ah well ;)

you either bite the bullet or you don't....

The blue and black suits it very well, and I agree about the wheels :)

Yeah i mean ive fully restored the paintwork after alot of time and effort! the whole car has took me so much effort! ive spent alot of money on this car and i do love it, i mean theres a few things that need sorting like tracking / caster and camber adjusted / horn sorting. but i do love my car :) its just the insurance that i hate! taking half of my wages a month is hurtful and its probably going to go up :(

Yeah ive grown up a hell of a lot since owning my punto, i mean i still have my days when i put my foot down abit when going to a show with my mates ect,
like you say my car does 70mph thats the fastest i should go.. and there good on fuel! and you know what i say buddy? the more you replace the less to go wrong!
ive looked at renewals with other companys and there under 2000 but will it deffo be around that? or will it be higher... lol

ive done lots of repairs on mine and all brand new stuff apart from a few scrappy items but they still going at the moment :) but i agree the more you replace the less things to go wrong...dont jinx yourself now :p

but id do your reasearch before jumping the gun of saying bye bye to punto, phone up a few insurance brokers and thye should be able to point you in right direction, i did this last august when before that my old insurance they were nothing but pigs their attitude stunk so i said fcuk off! :D (so immature i know!)

then found my current insurance through a broker and never been so happy about insurance, cheap as peanuts to me as i still have loads of money left over each month its great :D and it's fully comp too!
