My daughter's 02 plate punto (1.2) has a problem with the parking lights as they do not work without the ignition on. I have checked all fuses and relays where possible but have found no fault. There is an additional problem with the indicators as the flasher unit does not work when cold - ok when it warms up and I thought that maybe these problems were associated so I set out to find the flasher unit and try a replacement. I can hear it operating - on the fuse panel under dash - but cannot locate it. Where is it? Could these problems be associated?

To turn on the parking lights I am using the rotary switch on the left hand stalk - the one that operates the indicators.

Do you know which relay controls the indicators?

What you are doing is just turning the side lights on and puntos are designed so you cant leave your headlights on so thats why they are going off when you turn off the ignition, the actual parking lights are on the ignition where theres a little black button you press and turn anti-clockwise to turn them on
