Erm they look similar to mk1 2wd's (leaf sprung) but are different somehow internally I assume they'll be heavier rated. As far as mk2 2wd's (Coil sprung) im not sure as i aint had too much to do with them. Was going to get mk1 2wd ones as they were £50 for the pair but then thought about if they failed i'd have no warranty on them as they would be fitted to the wrong car and thus would end up spending even more so thought might as well get the right ones and if they go belly up then id have some comeback.

O right. As long as you wern't done(y), but sounds like you knew what you were getting:)

Seems strange that, despite being seemingly on a higher plane than anyone that would own one, the seller is still charging what can only be described as over the odds. Slyly worded auction, too - I reckon he's doing a bit of reverse psychology.

Hopefully people will vote with their wallets.

Headlight units on Ebay

Forum members may have noticed that two, brand new headlight units, with electric levelers, have just appeared on Ebay, 21.30hrs 08/07/08.

Anyone considering bidding for these items should please be aware that the part numbers indicate beam patterns set for Left Hand Drive vehicles.

Caveat Emptor.

O. Will I had a look not long after you said about them and put them in the 'watching' area of 'myebay' because I was thinking of getting them and changing the glass on the front, or even removing the motors from the black a re-fitting them to the RHD headlights because according to my manual they just slip over the current inplace 'knob' on the back of the headlights.

Is anyone else suffering from eBay problems tonight? It seems to keep getting me to re-sign in and go no where when I try to sell and revise my listings.

Also, How much would people have said the rear Nearside window (none opening type) out of a 750L would be worth? £10 plus £10 P+P (£20 in total) sound reasonable including rubber? Just had someone ask as selling the remaining bit's on the 750L at the moment.

Headlight units on Ebay

Hello Jon.
Yes, Ebay was a bit erratic for me too at that time. Seemed to me that the units were had been pulled but they are still there. Reason for posting was just to allert any forum member who may not have appreciated that units would be the European beam pattern.

Very good of you to(y)

I'm thinking of getting as already mentioned, but unlikly to bid because they're two seperate auctions and the last thing I want to do is have one and not the other:rolleyes:

Just in case anyone was going to have a bid, I went to look at the CLX the other night. My basic view is that it is a nice little car, probably about right for it's age but not quite as excellent as it appears in the pictures. The dings are a little more numerous in the flesh. There is corrosion on the boot seems and underneath at the rear - but again, not bad. The area around the tailgate was very clean. The engine seemed quite sweet but the fan didn't come on - needs a new sender, which the seller diagnosed there and then. It has been looked after but not loved. The seller seems a decent enough chap to me but it wasn't quite what I'm looking for to replace the BR Panda. I can wait. I guess most people on here wouldn't buy without viewing anyway.

Thanks for the information about the CLX BR
Good luck with your search.
