Re: Can anyone offer Doris a new home?! Please help keep a Panda on the road!

*DEEP BREATH*
I drove to my GF's this morning, and the engine was in a hell of a mess. There was oil leaking and there was oil all over the engine...

SO... *deep breath*... I have decided to get a new car. This means Doris (my Panda) now needs a new home, so I'm going to put Doris up for sale as a Spares or Repair... *sniff*

I've now put her on Ebay. There are pictures. Make me an offer:

Re: Pandas For Sale and Ebay Thread

Went down to Hastings in Mandapanda today, and just happened to pass SLM Motors in St Leaonards (What are the chances of that LOL ;);)).

The red K Reg Panda which is on ebay, and has less than a day to run, was there. It really is in 'out of the box' condition. The interior is immaculate. Brown Carpet unmarked, perfect brown seats with dark horizontal stripes, no clock or stereo. The only thing it has ever needed is a new battery. Car starts on the button and sounds . . . well as it would have when new :worship:.

The dealer is looking to get the best price possible for the elderly 1 owner who traded her in a couple of years ago. £1,500  was mentioned :chin:! The dealer did say that it WONT be going for the price is has reached so far and if necessary they "will bid up the price themselves or something"(n), so be careful with those auto bids .

It really is a time warp car, which has been doing the local car show circuits for the last couple of years. Only taxed in the summer and only driven locally.

Would I buy it mysef? If I had the cash, space and a nice warm garage for her . . . then yes !

They are very stupid for admitting that as they can have the auction stopped and their account suspended for shill bidding.

I've removed 3 bidders who failed to contact with low feedback just incase someone even thinks I'm using a new account to put in false bids, although one said they were def going to use him for the mongolia rally next year,

Re: Pandas For Sale and Ebay Thread

Indeed they are silly for admitting that. The sales bloke we spoke to said it would have been better to put the car on the forecourt, as there had been lots of interest in the past when the car was in the showroom. I think he was a bit anti-ebay too - as in his opinion the pictures and ad didn't do it justice (tend to agree with the picture, justice bit)

Just thought I'd share my previous post in case any one on here was going to bid. As good as the Panda is it would be wrong to be bidding against effectively the present owner.

Oh, just realized I have the number of the actual person handling the sale if any one is interested, as sales bloke said sensible offers would be considered (define sensible ). PM me for details.

Re: Pandas For Sale and Ebay Thread

County Motors in 2005 had a Mk2 in the showromm with it's original price tag of £5995 not long after the Nuova Panda was being released. It wasn't for sale as such and they were going to give it free to the next person who bought a Nuova Panda if they wanted it.

They had a couple of people that saw it on the website and were willing to pay the £5995 price tag

Re: Pandas For Sale and Ebay Thread

WOW

Supply and demand I guess, if someone wants something different badly enough and they have the money, then good luck to them.

Inceidentally our '82 Chevette has original sales receipt @ £4,191.08 - I wonder if she will ever reach that price again.
