At least now the average 4X4 is safe from the rally brigade, that has to be good. Now all we need is for 2X4 cars to start appreciating, which I reckon will happen over the next few years as they become rarer and rarer.

I guess so, but didn't that blue Sisley that came up recently go for less? It was in Scotland, so maybe that had something to do with it.

That blue sisley wasn't really in great condition... the doors lacked the decals for a start. i can't remember the details but it looked in need of love generally.

What are those roof rails from ? ( Montego perhaps )

The car is G reg and checks out with DVLA as being 1988 but notice it has a Mk3 grille ? Was under the impression that the Mk3 grille did not come in until 1991 so vehicle should have a Mk2 grille. ( Agreed, it could be a retro fit )

As it used to be Red there is a good chance that a few bits have changed although G reg is 89/90 not 88?

it's a possibility, depends whether the bodyshop wants to use the one i have already to repair the selecta rather than straighten the one that's on it at the mo...

Where are you based?... might be able to pick up this stuff for you and bring it to Gainsborough.

that 'mint condition' 4x4 was weird going for so much. seen nicer 4x4's go for far less.

makes me think that spending all this money making mine all lovely may be quite an investment afterall.

The fella selling the (mint condition) panda originally agreed to £250 before going back on his word as previously mentioned in this thread. Looks like that was 1/3 price then. I bet he doesn't regret that decision.

Sorry yes, should have read 1990 not 1988. However, having been first registered in March 1990 ( so probably built in late 1989 ) surely it should have a Mk2 grille?
