No, its a different garage. Its a 1986-C 340DL in the light sickly blue, and is a 3 door. My mam bought it a LONG time ago but as it was her first car she wants to keep it :nutter:. I will take pics if you want :).

It's fun watching a BMW driver being a hypocrite. At least old Volvos have some degree of credibilty. :D

Chris, very cool. Is it still running?

Re: Panda eBay Thread

I've had several Volvos over the years. In order:

340 1.4
343 1.4 cvt
340 1.4 again (but newer)
360 GLT (mmmm, lovely)
340 1.4 (yet again)
360 GLT again
V40 diesel estate (current daily driver with astronomical mileage; tank like and unstoppable)

I like them. My favourite of all of them was the 360 GLT. It had a terrible appetite for rear tyres though.

Once you get used to driving it Steve I think you'll like it. Like the Panda, they are poorly regarded by people who've never actually experienced them.

That's the attraction for me. I like to see peoples reaction (good or bad) to my car, blandmobiles (including my Stilo) just don't do it for me. If a Panda had come up first I'd have bought it instead, but this is a good substitute.

Re: Panda eBay Thread

I have experienced them, having to repair them for my father in law a 340 360 and 460 which had the worst engine of the lot from an old renault barge and never run right from the day he got it till the day it left and that included half the time at the dealers when it still had some warranty.

As for being a hypocrite it's in the job description :p but fail to see the difference between a 3.5lt BMW that has been perfect from the day I bought it and still is so, looks good, drives beautifully and is soooooo comfortable and a ***** 340 ?

Anyway........:sucks: and :whogives: :D :D

Re: Panda eBay Thread

errr... Chris i'm sure this may have occured to you at some point, maybe just after your dad had a go at you for having too many cars... but maybe if you were to concentrate on one car, and sell all the others... you might, just might ave a reliable motor that goes long distances without breaking down. Not have to worry about the vandals damaging it because it would fit inside the garage...

i dunno... just seemed like a plan

Aye it does seem like a plan, but the car belongs to my mam, otherwise i would be giving it away and moving the panda 45 in there. With regard to the "sell all the others" bit i have been trying you know, but nobody seems to want a mercedes, fiorino, and panda 45 ;)
