Might have a dabble unless your desperate Gaz.

Not really. I have other things to sort on the panda. So I shouldn't really be treating it to something new every week!

I am saving for some roof bars if I ever find any that fit

Re: Panda eBay Thread

Not if I find them first ;) :D good luck in the quest.

I'm not after the proper Sisley ones, it would stop me from using the rear sunroof, although it has had them fitted previously

A set like on Jim's Panda would be nice :chin:

Question, does anyone know if a 1108cc carb would fit onto my 999cc inlet?:slayer: If so, I'm going to go for it (y)
ok, 2 points... the 1108 carb is a single point injection... with needles set up for the 1108 and would need rejetting.

what is the point of this?

simply swapping to a different carb will not change performance if it is the same setup... you should be looking to modify the inlet manifold to mount a pair of carbs...

Re: Panda eBay Thread

Thanks! and OK, i'm a novice and trying hard... I thought that dropping a 1108 carb twin choke on a 999 single choke would give it a bit more - as well as a bit of sound!

I guess this is not the case? I'll have a look at modifiying, but, I think that two single webers, or whatever, would be well hard to fit and tune!

Re: Panda eBay Thread

Don't think there was a singlepoint inj on the 1.1 Uno but not sure on that one, it's also been advertised as a twin choke which it's not, it's a single choke with twin barrel. I would imagine though that it would work fine and would certainly add performance as long as it fitted on the manifold. It would need more air than a single barrel carb and as long as it got enough when the second barrel came into play i.e. put the foot down it's shouldn't be much of a problem although you will use more fuel. If you don't want it let me know and I may have a look. I would certainly have a few questions to ask and make sure the manifold will fit if not see if he can supply the original.

Re: Panda eBay Thread

Thanks. Well my plan is still to upgrade :slayer: - but maybe not this carb on ebay - want to physically hold one and look at it before transplanet! I know of a few Uno's (1.1, 1.3) in the yards around by us, West Mids, going to look this week. It has been recommened to source a 1116, 1299, 1301 twin choke carb (non FIRE) and fit a plate to my FIRE intake!

All good fun...

Cheers
