How did the viewing of the 4x4 go Jon? any good?

Viewing went well thanks, post on previous page.

I got outbid though. Went for £155, my max £150, and I'm feeling very sour about it, which I don't often :(

Going to email seller and tell him that if the sale falls through, that I'm still interested (y)

Hi Charlotte

I saw this one and queried what appeared to be a large dent in the top of the drivers door on this 'showroom' example.

I received the following reply:

sorry i just notice the dent after i put photo's online and tryed to edit ad
but couldn't it smaller than the picture the photo makes it look bigger

Make of that what you will...........

:ROFLMAO: I also asked the same question - wonder if the seller is getting paranoid - I also had a similar short response, along the lines of "yes its a dent, but its not that bad camera makes it worse."

newbie re: fiat panda 4x4 in canada on ebay

Hi, gord here in wintry ontario canada (10ft of snow and counting (and no it is not all on the ground, that is the total snowfall so far, only about 4ft on the ground!)
i realize kind of late in the game for this auction but... no bids so probably make offer after auction over (looking for some answers from owner for now) and no not easy to see (other side of the country 3k km (3 time zones) away!

anyway, newbie to pandas but not fiats (have owned 7 fiat spiders including a turbo all long gone as well as a yugo convertible (still a fiat!)

looking for all your sage advice! :worship:

is there anything in particular i should be looking out for on these cars esp. since NO fiat dealerships in Canada ?
i have a very capable import mechanic for those things beyond me (worked on our saabs, fiats, vws, etc.)
but getting parts, the 4wd system, etc. etc.
longevity, known failure points etc. etc. (besides the typical rust/rot of any car but even then, where are they known to go?)

thx in advance

ebay number 120356047349 on ebay.ca
sorry too new to post actual link but it is mentioned in the ebay thread

thx
pls reply to [email protected] since on dialup :bang: so SLOW in the forum

someone in the ebay thread mentioned the black lower part covering up stuff >> all very true in rust/rot canada BUT being from Japan more likely just the paint scheme >> owned a mitsubishi jeep j53 and it had maybe 2 specks of rust! (they dont; get our snow nor the need for salt/sand on the roads)

Wow! US$4100 = GBP2789 with 4 hours to go!

But what a little beauty!

Sorry if I appear to be changing camps here, but this is quite a unique example!

Good luck!

If you've had 7 Fiats and know about them I'm not sure there is much to say to you about Pandas that you wouldn't check for. Bodywork basicially as the Fire engine goes on forever with a little TLC. Check the boot floor and all the seams, seatbelt anchor points etc. and under the arches. Obviously you'll engage the 4x4 if you check it out to see if it works OK and is smooth. It looks like a nice Panda and is going for a lot more than anything would in the UK!

Anybody knows how it is with cars on nonenglish plates....I know that I can drive this car for 6 months BUT car must be insured!! I can't insure it in Italy, so do you know if I can insure italian car in UK (uk insurance) ??
Because without it it's illegal to drive it over hear...I think

Yeah, but spiders have more in coman with MGB's than pandas, LOL

The Yugo would be closer (but don't tell anyone)

BTW, cars are generally much more expensive second hand in the US and Canada. There's no MOT in most states so cars tend to go on and on till they just die. Remember the crap the topgear boys bought for $1000?
