General Panda to Africa

Would you beardies calm down :D .

Steve I've already told Jim that if it comes down to it, if he gets the parts I'll fit them before the retest for the mot. Mind you I'm still hopefull M Stewarts will come up trumpts. I'm waiting on a call from Vince.

Now were's that razor :chin:

Will I get out of work on time tomorrow night to get the Panda from the Mervyn Stewart's?

Will Alan be brave enough to take it to Larne?

Will the parts arrive in time?

Will there be enough money to pay for them?

Will Stu put his phone to voice mail next week?

Will it pass the mot?

Will we get a re-test in time?

Will ITV's Utv put the whole lot on the telly at teatime?

Honest to god, it's more exciting than a damn good Crack habit :D

Jim

Hi Steve.........I havn't received that address from you yet and the boys are starting to hit each other through the waiting. Please send it soon as I only have a limited number of spancils.
P.s. I'm only 17.5 stone ... that's small around here. :D

Right I have just had it confirmed by Vincent from Mervyn Stewarts that they are as I write this doing "ALL" the work on The Africar "FOR FREE". Jim has to pay for the parts though so if anyone wants to help fund the parts bill contact Jim. If I remember rightly that's replacement of all the rear bushes and the fronts, Handbrake cable, gearbox gator, rocker cover gasket, drive shaft boot, possible damper, 2 front springs, align the headlights, and check the emmisions. I do know the labour would have been quite high (£300+) so a lot of recognition has to go to Mervyn Stewarts (N.I's main Fiat and Alfa romeo dealer) who were it has to be said very enthuesiastic about getting involved and quick to offer to carry out the work. They really saved the trip from coming to an end before it even got out of Belfast.
Therefore I would ask anyone who will be mentioning the trip be it to a friend or media to make sure this is mentioned.
All being well Jim will be lifting the car tonight and it will pass the mot tomorrow.
At least Jim now that M Stewarts have done the work you won't have to worry about getting there as much as you would have been if I had done the work. Oh and I get to stay married for a while longer. My daughter asked this morning, "is Jim coming round today again" !!!

Anyway that's the major things covered. I can't do anything about Alan wanting to drive it though a blind fold might be useful. I've to phone Cool Fm, Belfast Tele, Carsport and Drive on Monday and there's a few other I will try to get interested so Here's hoping.
Just a thought but any of you guys on the mainland have any major car mag/network contacts that would run a little piece. Everything helps. :D
