I don't know if your pandas have the same handle type as my 2006 panda, but many years ago, I wedged in a standard mains microswitch, with a short stainless steel lever. the little lever protrudes, and it has already lasted longer than the original. I just have to make sure that at the MOT, my garage is aware that they need to find that little lever if they wish to access the boot. Thanks, I guess the switch should cost <£1.00 so I'm trying to avoid a big bill here, will keep searching!
Thanks for this. My next step is to (temporarily) replace the switch with a make/break micro switch of any design on a length of flex to prove that it is the switch is faulty and not a wiring loom fault. Assuming the switch is faulty then work out a way of replacing it!I don't know if your pandas have the same handle type as my 2006 panda, but many years ago, I wedged in a standard mains microswitch, with a short stainless steel lever. the little lever protrudes, and it has already lasted longer than the original. Thank you for this, going to check my switch dimensions nowCan't 100% tell from your pic the height of the plunger.

Maybe be able to adapt it to fit.... otherwise search for "waterproof microswitch" and sift through the google images presented
That's a big topic and question, maybe best to post as a separate thread?Sorry to jump the thread, but need some advice, have a 2013 Panda. To open the tailgate you have to use the key as it isn’t equipped with an exterior handle, and is non electric. Has anyone fitted a lock assembly with handle so I could open without having to take key with me when it is locked. Appreciate any help you could give me
