Over the years I have driven Fiat Pandas including my mother’s red 750 L 1988 E728DUF back in the day. Absolutely loved its simplicity and was used for taking the dogs out and shopping and ferrying teenagers to and fro. I took it up to Uni one year where it’s really struggled around the hills of Snowdonia. Fast forward a decade onwards and my wife bought a tourqoise blue 2007 Panda as a run about and traded it in for a brand new white Panda in 2015. Sadly we sold her last summer as we were looking to move house and to free up some cash. Now we have moved earlier this year and I am beginning to think about buying a classic Panda with a sunroof if possible.

A friend is viewing one tonight on my behalf but there’s a problem with the drive shaft or gearbox but overall it does looks ok in the photos…

Welcome to the forum. Great choice of project. I just love Pandas. I would buy all of them if I could afford it!
Unfortunately the one my friend was going to look at fell through as the seller changed his mind at the very last minute. I have viewed a couple on line though. Ideally I want one with the double sunroof.

I totally get the sunfoof thing. I wonder if you might do better in Europeand specifically Italy. Less rust and maybe you could if required convert to RHD. ALl you would need would be a donor which might be more than useful. I usually find watching the internet gets results if you wait and pounce when a good one comes along. Do let us all know when you find the right one.

I was thinking Malta might be a good choice as these should be RHD?
