Hello everyone, thought I put this on if it may help someone. Bought a Fiat Panda six month's ago with a rotten back axle, now we have the nice weather I've installed the new axle along with springs and brake bits. Handbrake cables needed replacing really so I did, after market cables are, shall we say not as good. It's the plastic clip which go's into the body "rubbish" it just doesn't hold firm. So I'm guessing the slight tension on the inner cable when not in use will hold it in place?.

Yes but only the slightest tension to do the job.
