General  Panda 4x4

Must be a big shipment..... just had the local dealer in Glasgow phone to arrange delivery of my white 4x4 next thursday........ more than 6 weeks SOONER than they had said! Whey hey! It is handily speccd with the winter pack (was 23C today!), but more usefully the rear sensors and city brake stuff and a few smaller bits like height adjustment and the tomtom bayonet thingy.... in white (my last cross was very orange......). Cant wait to be anonymous!

Hopefully FIAT will really start to get Mk 4 Pandas selling in the UK. I know I'm biased but I do think the 4x4 and Trekking really make the best of the Pandas looks, so it can't be bad for the public to actually see a few on the streets every now and then.

Also, I'd also be fascinated to know what proportion these make up of new Panda sales - does anyone know the figures?

:)

Totally agree - the other modles are strikingly anonymous (if that's possible) - at least the chunkier look 0f the 4x4 and Trekking gives the Panda a little presence.

Agree, previous Panda was the same and the 100hp and 4x4 were the lookers of the bunch :)

If by 4x4 you exclude the Cross :p

I like the Trekking and would buy one except that for some reason Supersaver are offering no discount on it.

I would think that Fiat are not including the Trekking and 4x4 models in the usual numbers discount structure. Hence the don't have the same margins.

Try your local dealer and see what they can do if you do want one.

...

Yes - sheep and wolf - an overdone attempt to push the UK 4x4 upmarket beyond its natural reach - latest 4x4 is a much more "honest" approach and they should be able to sell all they can produce.

I'm becoming more and more tempted by the TA - see lots here in Umbria.

lol! :)

Well there's plenty of other dealers if Pewsham aren't playing ball.
I'd be quite surprised though if you called in and they said sorry, zero discount.

Give it a go, you've nothing to lose, and you can always go down the road to a dealer who will play ball.

Hi All,

I have just had an answer passed direct from the 4x4 product manager at FIAT apparently the rear seat slides 8cm back and 8cm forward from the standard seat position. Production of my car is going to commence at the end of May but they can't give me an accurate delivery date as yet...

That took FIAT 2 weeks to supply the same answer I got from here in 24hours, Thanks Philboo, 4x4 Panda, Deeyup!

Thanks 205dan - we aim to please :D though to be honest I'm not sure i helped much!

sounds like a veritable flood of new Pandas ariving shortly for FIAT forum members (y)

My new 4x4 is arriving in about a weeks time, LHD obviously and ordered through a German dealer in order to save al little, has all the specs I could find. Sliding rear seat was not an option I could find? Anyway, I went for 60/40 split 3 seat option. Ordered my TA about 8 weeks ago, and can hardly sleep! Sunset red (valentino rot in german). The car is replacing a 08 Impreza STI, so I am trading in a little power and space (2 kids 10 and 12), but I am convinced that driving a Panda will make you a better and caring person. Still on turbo power!

My 03 classic silver Panda 4x4 will never be sold, and my family fleet is now absolutely perfect.

The MJ version was reviewed (sort of) in The Guardian, on Saturday.

Doesn't really add anything, to be honest. (I used to write about technology for The Guardian -- about 25 years ago... -- and I wonder how much you get paid, nowadays, for writing seven paragraphs that don't really say much....)

Well, I give him 8 out of 10 for that! :p

Oh, and it doesn't come with traction+, that's the trekking as we all know ;)

The comments below the article are hilarious! Did any of you lot write them?
