Excellent stuff(y)

Makes me want the 4 seat option even more now as it must give extra rear leg room!

Hope I'm not forced to cancel for a 5-seater...

The rear bench is just a single back cushion with 2 head rests and 2 seat belts, so cannot be described as a 5 seater. It is not split and does not slide back and forward.

The rear cushion does fold forward, but to describe as "flat" is a bit difficult more of an angle - this may improve over time.

Got my best mpg so far just now on my journey home.
55.3mpg according to the trip.
Awesome!

Well finally did -the-deed and ordered my new Panda :D

Gone for the TwinAir Trekking version in Tuscany Green with sand/olive cloth interior and olive dashboard

Extras being Winter Pack, Spare Wheel, Parking Sensors, Blue&Me, 5Seat with fix & fold along with Leather steering wheel.

I'll miss the sunroof of my existing Punto but soon get over it.

Delivery provisionally set for around 6th June (DDay)

Sadly that's just what I've done- my dealer rang me this afternoon to announce
yet more delay (delivery not before June) which is well beyond a joke!

So I've reluctantly gone for the 60/40 5-seat option. I'll try for a few more
goodies as compensation for this shambles...

If mine does not result in a May/June delivery to the spec I've ordered then maybe I'll cancel and wait until Fiat decides its in the car manufacturing business and order then.

Just out of interest. When you ordered the car how long did they say?
My dealer said that they used to say 4 weeks but could never meet that so now they guarantied delivery within 12 weeks.

WAs driving my car home today when I had to brake ,I don,t think it was that sharp , But the Hazzard warning lights came on until I slowed down and lifted my foot from the pedal, I do know its surpassed to do this under Emergency conditions , I know I was startled to see other cars in front of me slowed down , I will have to take more care when braking in future

All to do with rate of deceleration :)

I ordered mine on March 12th (I think) with the 4 seat flex pack amongst other things and was quoted 10-12 weeks which I didnt think unreasonable bearing in mind its being made in Italy. When we ordered an Alfa gt a few years ago it was a similar wait.
We'll see, the dealer have said nothing to me so far except that they expect my car to be supplied 'as ordered'.

The continental cross contact winter tyres are reported during tests of having long braking distances in the dry.
I flew across a crossroads which had its priority changed due to a road closure the third day I had my car. The tyres were new which doesn't help, but I did think at the time that my 500 on its 16" bridge stones would have stopped in time with no problem.

I don't recall my hazards coming on during that episode, but I did get them working on my 500 on occasion.

What awesome weather, so any excuse to take the Panda off road. Had a good drive earlier with the mrs in the passenger seat (she isn't the best passenger and thought we would get stuck all the time!). Panda did very well through some pretty muddy areas although it's looking very dirty now....

I'm very disapointed!

I was expecting a lot more mud

Well it is pretty warm so not a huge amount of mud around! Maybe next time, it's all very well getting it muddy but cleaning is the worst bit :yuck:

today at work I managed to drive my car OFF road where I mostly drive my tractor as it was dry did take some pics which I will upload later ,then I went to another place of work this time a meddow which I drove though , the feeling was I wish I had another extra low gear so I could really crawl along but went up this incline

After washing my car notice small 1mm Chip of paint off front bumper left side of fait badge where it curves ,I think must have been caused by traffic at some stage ,its so small I don,t think I could get it done under waranty ,So I gave my car a good wax instead
