Hi all! I have a Panda 169 1.2 4x4 LHD which I love and intend to keep as long as possible. However my headlight connector at the BCM has now given problems for the third time… The connector melts, which I replace, clean, and so on. My question is, is there a permanent fix for this problem? I don’t mind adding some relays, but I don't want to make mistakes with the wiring order. Maybe someone has figured this out, and i don’t need to reinvent the wheel, so to speak :)

Thanks in advance and regards,

Rob

With what do you replace the connector? When I had my 100HP I bought a new connector with thicker wires on it (E-Bay, but now available on AliExpress as well) and up till now it is still working flawlessly (I am still in touch with the lady that bought it).

There's a fuse change that should be performed as well
  • Replace the 10-A fuses (F12 and F13 in Fig. 1) with two new 7.5-A fuses

If the connector is up to the job it shouldn't melt again

There must be either too much current, or too much resistance between the connector and pin

Are the bulbs the correct wattage

Which pin is melting

Did you clean up the pin on the body computer
