Hey,

Does anyone know how much lower these springs would take the 100HP?

http://shophost.net/shop_n/catalog/...d=963&osCsid=6d059120760b09c87574b7c94525a366

Says lowers by 40mm but that will be ruffly on the normal Panda's and as the 100HP is lowered anyway wonder how much more it would lower.

Also

I love this exhaust, says that it fits all panda's accept 4x4, Im thinking they have no updated this since the 100HP.... Could a spacer be used I wonder to fit this to the 100HP.

The 100HP does have a "bespoke suspension system" so I wonder if you can actually use aftermarket Panda suspension parts for a standard Panda on it?

Also, why not wait until the warranty has expired before invalidating it?

Adam, do you really want to be cutting holes the rear bumper for the exhaust?
Ive been keeping an eye on the novitec stuff too and have seen no sign of the 100HP being mentioned yet

Not going to comment on the suspension 'upgrade' as I'm not sure it would be.

As for the exhaust - the standard 100HP rear bumper can cope with a wider diameter single pipe or even an oval without messing about with the bumper - but only on one side. I'd wait a while before butchering the offside lower moulding.(y)

Each to their own I suppose :)

Not sure I'd want a 100HP to be any lower. Unless you're going for the Euro slammed look. Probably won't handle any better and will ruin the ride (even more).

Twin pipes on such a dinky car look really silly - think wheelbarrow handles. Unless you've got a V8 hiding where the back seats should be then I'd save multiple pipes for the big boys with mansize engines and not dinky 1.4s.

I've send a mail to Novitec a few weeks ago with the same questions about the lowering springs and the left/right exhaust.

They said they had ordered a 100HP an they were still waiting for the delivery.

Novitec's plan is to make a whole new exhaust for it and they're going to test the lowering springs for the normal Panda's on their 100HP.
If it doesn't fit or work well, they're going to make some new springs for it.

I actaully had the full Novitec Seicento tuning kit including duplex exhuasts and it sounded amazing and looked really cool... 70 HP ;) !

I think the Panda 100HP could pull off a twin exhaust system as it really does look sporty and the sound would be excellent!!

As for the springs and shocks on the 100HP truth is they are nothing fancy and have just been given a fancy name... lowering will make the ride a tad bit harder but after driving a lowered Sei you kind of miss the solid rid and the springs can only help get rid of the bouncy effect in the 100HP...

Dennis, could you send me a PM if you get any more news on the Novitec 100HP plans

Thanks

why not just go custom? seems silly spending mega money on novitec parts... especially after all the shipping and importing costs. exhausts uk i(f you're yorkshire based) or torque exhausts (if you're down london way) or even powerflow!!

as for lowering, i wouldn't say it would ruin the car... the handling would be better for sure, but it would make the ride harder than it is as standard. as long as you dont put big wheels on the 100hp it will always handle pretty good!

Lowering doesn't have to make the ride harder!

if you're just using springs it will... unless you plan on cutting the original springs!!!!!!

if there is a set of coilovers available then obviously they are your best bet, but they are usually quite a lot of money hence why people just use springs which can be brought for a hundred notes usually.

No, spring rates are far more complicated than how long they are, you could have high and stiff if you wanted, don't think there'd be a market for that though.

I Definetly will do that, mate!!(y)

By the way,
It find it very strange that they allready have some parts for the New Bravo.
This car is just introduced this week in Holland!
The 100HP is availible for about 6 months and there's still no Novitec part availible...

'Market demand' Dennis I guess.

Have a good Easter!(y)

tbh though, you will be hard pushed to find a lowering spring that will lower the car and keep the ride quality!

Indeed...my Koni/Eibach combination on the ALFA has done nothing for my internal organs over typical british road surfaces (including motorways). Thank heavens for muscle and skin - if I didn't have those I think I be down by a couple of kidneys by now.;)

Standard fit parts aren't always the quality they should be though so if you put decent aftermarket parts on you can make the car firmer but also improve the way it reacts to bumps. Not many manufacturers use progressive springs for instance and these make a huge difference to ride quality by being able to be both softer and harder, nor do many use gas shocks as opposed to most originals which are only oil.

When you're talking about the cheapo spring kits that boy racers buy to slam their cars though I totally agree.

Just to point out that Fiat Warranty is not invalidated when using Novitec parts... Fiat recognise Novitec’s quality and I guess work alongside each other and if Novitec or a Novitec distributor fit any Novitec part the warranty remains unaffected, hence the reason for the price tag quality and warranty!

This information was given to me by a very knowledgeable person on this forum.

Cheers

Adam
