I would of expected more than that tbh. Have you seen this months auto italia? Theres a feature for shakeyhandmans turbo'd 100hp

not seen the article m8 but sounds good-im ordering one now.

P.s if anyone finds anyone in the uk that can remap the 100hp please shout it out on here!

One of the most cost effective ways to accommodate a turbo conversion will be, to fit a product from these people : http://www.dastek.co.uk/faqs_unichip.htm

in addition to your standard ECU, - piggy back more commonly known as.

Your standard ecu will be retained to operate you instruments.

There's definitely plenty of professionals in this country to carry this out so, a bit OTT fora trip to Holland  unless you fancy a blur weekend ;)

I've emailed that company before but ha no reply :(

Which one ??

Give Circuit Motors in Castle Combe a call, i believe they are agents for Dastek and map all those systems available and, stay right up to date with new configurations introduced (y) ;)

Circuit Motors at Castle Combe have my supercharged 4x4 at present and are mapping it as we speak. These IAW 59F ECU's are just as hard to crack as the 100HP's (mine's a DBW 1.2 from July 2006) and they are using a Dastek UNI-Q and their new iDriver module to fly the car. Main issue is that this revision of ECU stays in CLOSED LOOP the entire time, making any remap all but impossible, unless drastic action is taken.

And whilse there are seemingly remaps available for this engine, that wouldn't help in my case as it's gone from N/A to Forced and that kinda plays havoc with the OEM maps, as you'd expect.

Paul at Circuit Motors is very good, but as a result, very busy.

turbo goes on next week then off to holland for full remap-not really interested in piggyback want it redone on original ECU and have already spoke to the dutch guys-original ecu works well with remap on turbo setup. was just wondering if anyone had cracked it in the uk is all.

Which company in Holland are you going to use? I'd be interested to see if this is an alternative for me too, should things not turn out as I need (it's a complex operation, afterall). Will they fit a new MAP sensor and bigger injectors and then simply apply the remap alone, leaving everything else std? Would be very interested to hear how you get on. PM me if necessary.

Thanks,

Phil
