General  Panda 1.2 - tyre recommendations?

... I recently got avon cr322 fitted big mistake ...

"We found the Avon CR322 Enviro was particularly poor in wet conditions. A key weakness appeared to be when braking and gripping on a bend in wet conditions." Get a grip Which? (Mar 2008)

"Very weak overall level – Particularly weak on wet roads (leading to devaluation) – Lack of braking performance on wet roads."
ADAC 03/2008

My Panda 1.2 had 13" Cont. Eco ones too, but I had mine changed around 60,000kms. All four worn out.

Didn't get a choice here they fitted Toyo135 summer tyres. 16,000kms since and they seem just as good as the originals.

I just realised, I spooned. Sorry. I meant Toyo350 summer tyres.

The original Conti Econcontacts in 155/80/13 were OK in the cold and snow - surprising given they arent a winter componud and th tread design looks pants for snow/mus conditions. No doubt the narrow width and tall profile helped.

Had cheap make on the front axle, and they lasted well, didn't squeel and whilst felt soft when driving a bit spirited they hung on well in all conditions.

Now on Pirelli P3000 - seem a quite as the Original Contis, quieter than the cheapos the dealer fitted and seem to be lasting well. Grip wise they are little different to the cheapos and the contis, but in this size there's not much contact to start with.
Fuel consumption seems to have improved with the Pirellis even tho they aren't sold as a fuel saver tyre.

I considered Vredstein too, but got good prices on the Pirellis £42each fitted
