Lemon juice and sugar also, though doubt I will be having any tonight.
Just been to shop for the makings, lemon and sugar with a liberal amount of butter, only way to go, anything else would be a waste of a pancake surely!!

I've got 6 kids tonight and they have been promised pancakes for pudding....

I cheated and bought frozen ones, just stick them in the frying pan lol otherwise we'd have been making them for hours.

Im not having any pancakes either. Didnt even know it was pancake day to be honest, and nobody can make pancakes how ma Nana used to

im a bit boring im not having any dont really like them!
I have the following food to eat:
Left over curry (chicken curry of some sort, I have forgotten, mini popadoms, naan, vegetable things, onion bajhis, bombay potatoes and rice) YUM
Hotdogs (and I would add some french fries) YUM
Or
I could make pancakes for myself YUM.
Problem is, the former two will go off if I don't eat them today (curry) or tomorrow (hotdogs) so having pancakes would be such a waste anyway

Just went to get maple syrup as my daughter wants that on hers, its nearly £3 a bottle

same here. actually no one makes any thing like my nana used to. i think its to do with the traditional methods, fresh ingedients and plenty of fat.
I only realised why Asda were giving away samples of pancakes (Aunt Bessies or whatever?) on Sunday when I saw this thread
Think i'll have golden syrup, if Rob gets some on his way home. If not it will be lemon and/or sugar.
