Need help trying to clear code p1850 on 2010 fiat 500 1.2 manual. Car starts and runs but engine light is on, plus check engine message is displayed on dash.

Found this if it helps.
I’ve got a p1850 error code and the start stop function has stopped working. The car is a fiat punto evo 1.4 GP.
The engine management comes in, but the car drives fine, what sensor needs replacing and where can I purchase it from?

It's was a fiat main dealer only. It's a switch that goes above the gearbox to help with the start stop iirc

Have just bought Punto Evo 1.4 with similar problem.There is a switch on your clutch pedal which gets dirty inside. Have removed mine disassembled cleaned and rebuilt. Hopefully this will cure the problem. There is a video of it on youtube on an american 500 owners club site if i can refind link will post it

Quick update,clutch pedal switch didnt cure problem. The gear position sensor underneath gear lever had 2 broken wires causing the issue. After soldering wires back together the problem seems to be cured.
