Good evening all,

Can anyone lend some experiance / solutions to an intermitent P2563 code that keeps putting the car into limp mode.

New items: new turbo, new backbox, new arm, new track rod end, new brake hose, new tire & the tracking done, completed last week.

When we picked the car up from the garage, due to a rounded bolt on the lower arm that I couldn't remove myself and a track rod that was stronger than my mole grips ( I did the turbo swap & backbox myself ), the car was in limp mode, we cleared it and drove a mile before it came back. We can clear it ok and then drive for a random amount of time before it comes back.

Map sensor is working, voltage is ok, no obvious leaks in the vacuum hoses but they still maybe the issue.

Never had this issue before the old turbo started spitting oil out ( hence the swap ) and the turbo and actuator are brand new, all hoses connected, so nothing obvious.

Just wondered if anyone else has dealt with the same issue or similar and has some suggestions?

Thanks for your time.

Thanks, Mark

Check for air leak after turbo, hoses, clips, damaged intercooler, etc.
I had something similar related to a leaking gasket at an EGR connection on back of inlet manifold on a 1.6MJ Doblo.
So the air measured going in to turbo doesn't match the figures the ECU expects from the MAP sensor at the inlet manifold, etc. I think.;)

Hi,

I took it to the local car electrical garage and they suggested a new boost valve, seal up the boost pipe as it seems to be leaking at the bolted end and a new oil return. after that he will plug it in as, as is usual, the car would not throw the code this evening, I tried launching it, starting at 1k in 3rd and booting it, 70mph run and nothing popped up, ran great, not handy when doing a diagnostic check!

Will do the fixes once the parts arrive and see what happens next.

Thanks for your help.

Mark.
