Tuning P100HP/ Engine Remapping.

Has anyone tried JR-Tuning Engine remapping? Or anyone else other than storm engineering? Any cheaper alternatives?

Tuning the 1.4 16v normally asperated and the 1.1, 1.2 8V is fairly well understood

Yes you can make the more powerful, but it is not cheap

Here is some of what it takes to get 155 out of a 1.2 8v

And quite a few grand

In the last 10 year I have not seen a independently verified remap make anything noticeable from the driving seat, without changing the cam first

Full decat and race exhaust with post O2 delete via a remap make 6HP and only at the top end

Adding turbo waste of money

Changing to the completely redesigned t-jet is the best bang for buck

Old engines like Austin A series and Hillman Imp responded so well to traditional tuning be cause the manufacturers never considered gas flow through the cylinder head and manifolds. Today's engines have that pretty much sorted and everything is adequate for standard power. They "can" make more power but it gets very expensive.
