Hi,
Suddenly my ducato 2014 gave a enginge error P0697. Could be serveral things, including a leaking 5v component. Today they checked in the garage and it is a faulty blietooth component. I can only imagine that that should be in or connected tot the radio. But they were talking on disabling it by programming it.

Can’t imagine that there is a smart bluetooth component in a quitte “dumb” ducato but I’m not bothered by knowledge on this subject. Maybe some else here?

I told them I am replacing the radio anyway. Hope to get some more opinions before calling them back.

Regards,
Gert-Jan

If it's a faulty bluetooth (blue&me) module, which is apparently quite common, they would need to disconnect it then program it out or the odometer would flash.
I don't know if your model has blue& me.
The usual fault when that happens is a flat battery if left standing as it (the module) continues to draw current when the car is not being used, but to the best of my knowledge (I could be wrong) it doesn't usually result in that or any error code.
That error code means there is a problem with the 5 volt supply to a sensor, afaik that relates to ALL ecu and powertrain sensors but I suppose it's possible that the module is using the 5 volts, I'd ask the garage how they diagnosed it was the bluetooth module causing that error code.
