Hi all

I've have some problems with my 17 plate 1.4 Punto Easy

Thursday afternoon I was driving home along fast roads, hit traffic as I turned onto the town roads the engine started to get a little louder and throatier (sounding like burning rich) and got a engine warning light and error messages of "stop start unavailable, ESC unavailable, tyre pressure monitoring unavailable" etc.
After 2 minutes the car went into limp.

Turning off and on the car it cancelled the limp but kept the warning lights and messages.
Past experience on mates cars I took out the MAP sensor and cleaned it to keep me going till Friday and ordered a new on to pick up.

I drove to work perfectly fine Friday
On the way back Friday the same happened as Thursday at the same place hitting traffic. I picked up and fitted the new MAP sensor which didn't have an effect.

Borrowed a OBD from a mate Friday afternoon and it gave P0101 error.

Is this likely a simple replacement of a different sensor or have people had to do some more digging to find the problem?

Thanks All

Hi

That engine has been around for 20 years..

Plenty of info on here

That code is incomplete
P***-**

The last characters describe the error 😉
I appreciate there is lots of information about the engine, I'm struggling to find anything specific to the problem I'm having, with majority of information of P0101 errors being for MAFs, where as my is Petrol.

For the code, I've attached an image of the reading I got.
Are you saying the code should be P0101-11?

Thanks
