General P reg Punto - advice please

Hi all,

my daughter is getting a new car next week and her 5 door P reg 55sx will be unused and unloved from then on

The MOT is due 3rd week of August and I know it needs 2 front shockers and a rear radius arm, apart from those, it's OK as it has been serviced regulary and it's had a recent new exhaust It's gold with clean body work bar the bonnet which has flakey paint.

I'd like to keep it but I am out of space due to having 2 classic pandas lying around so I am stuck for space.

What do you think the best option is? My choices are -

Scrap it but would probably only get about £80 for it
Repair it / MOT it - cost about £150 but it's probably only worth £250 / £300?
Sell for parts?

I've had the same problem twice now with mine and my bro's. I scrapped mine and got 40 quid for it. I'm told that theyre giving about 70quid per metric tonne of metal. I had to have mine collected. They charge you for leaving tyres and battery on in most cases. Not sure what to do with the bro's. Its a '98 and just needs rear radius arms doing, front suspension arms and 4 new tyres or scrappy wheels. Tis a bit of a gamble, but just check out what they will actually give you for scrap. If you do scrap it, take some of the main bits off it, in particular the ECU. I sold mine to someone in Malta for 30 quid through FF classifieds so you know, you can make a bit of money back that way Depends how much you love the car tbh...

I wish I had the time to break it down but I don't have the room at the moment which is a shame.
