Just finished but its still running HOT?? havent bled the system as I cant see the valves where are the specifically please ,what do they look like I think I;m looking at the windscreen resovior??? help one worrying thing is that I put a paper clip across the fan connection and the fan still did NOT come on worrying???
 
Got them both now the black butterfly style valves behind headlight and at back under screen .WATER comes out of the one behind the headlight but NOT out the one at the windscreen ?? is this right or wrong??? cheers

BAD NEWS DONE ALL YOUV'E ALL SUGGESTED very proud of my handiwork BUT ITS STILL OVERHEATING .I have located the valves bled the system till I d got water coming out of both ,still the fan has not cut in???? Ive even bridged the connection with a paper clip but still no fan????HELP???????????????

Custard where would I connect to the fan is there something underneath the fan/rad area??
 
Hi guys just been to garage he says its fine!! heat in heaters , hot water in all hoses etc He thinks the sensor in the thermostat possibly no good?? The Overheat light is on again after about 10 mins running is this feasible ?could this cause the light to come on ,still no sign of the fan cutting in how HOT does it have to be?? to cause that and would a paperclip across the sensor connectors cause it(fan) to come on??

providing the fuse for the fan is ok, then yes the fan should come on - it may be on all the time though [even with engine off] as I am not sure if it works with the ignition circuit

if you try this, and it dont come on perhaps theres a problem with the fan motor
 
I Swapped fuses with the 40 amp one next to the fan fuse still no joy and the 30 amp still looks perfect it is possibly the fan?? is this difficult to change??
 
hI i HAVE WIRED THE FAN TO TEST and its working fine I can only think it must be the sensor in the thermostat housing so ive ordered one see what this brings???thoughts please
 
Hi New sensor fitted to thermostat seems to have helped out on the road temp light fades right off BUT comes back on when at junction or idling , soon as revs increased seems to fade off ?? and at 40 mph off completly, some water comes out the heater bleed valve but not loads?? what came out was HOT??? Also had another light come on the binacle its to the right of the handbrake warning and looks like a little ROCKET???? whats this PLEASE?? ALSO STILL NOT SEEN THE FAN CUT IN?? BUT I KNOW IT WORKS AS TESTED YESTERDAY

Mine kept doing that too, at random moments whilst driving. I pulled off (one at a time!) each sensor on the engine, squirted WD40 onto the terminals then replaced them. After that the ECU light went off after starting and stayed off (y)
