After 18 months ownership of my Jap import Ford Telstar 1.8 SW (Mazda 626) auto, the driver's door window motor's decided to die in the open position.
Now this is inconvient, as i'm unable to leave the car in a public place, without some opportune thief nicking it.
Also with the weather beginning to turn, i'm going to get wet.
This is the second mechanical fault. The first was the air valve, which left me stranded. Thank you NZ, AA for your assistance.
In the 4 year ownership of my Brava, it never left me stranded. And they say FIAT's are unreliable!
These Japanese cars are over rated. Yes they pack them with every concieveable extra, but things do go wrong with them as often as most makes.
Has anyone else had problems with their Jap car, or know of someone who has?

never had a problem, admittedly only had 1 jap car tho, my next one will be.

Have to say that the 1Ltr Suzuki Cultus (Swift) i had was pretty much indestructable!
It was a 1993 car that i got for 350euro, drove the **** out of it (jumped it at least 2ft off the ground and nearly broke my back, Handbreakers every 5min)
And it still passed the NCT first try after doing nothing with it and sold it on for 700euro.

Now thats not bad!
