Bring back the spiritual successor to the Fiat X1/9 but incorporating the features mentioned above.

So it would be super fast, sexy, and get 70mpg?

Think scaled-down Ferrari F430.

You could also go the route of a super light-weight X1/9 successor with a Twin-Charger set up on a 1.2 litre engine? 180bhp and 55mpg?

I'm currently doing a Design degree which I can elect to major in transport design, and I would consider any of the above.

There is so much new technology on the market that it would be possible (money-no-object) to create something seriously fast, seriously economical, and very appealing to enthusiasts.

Good luck in finding a gap in that market,that ones been well flogged.

Na,what you want to do is choose an existing model, and top spec it in every department,but the trick is to do it so that people looking at it would say WOW!!!! i dident know they done this model in the ????? range ,i want one.

I suggest you take a look at the lovley car that is the BRAVA!!!!! its a good starting point,, na????
