I have found that the easiest way to copy pc games is to copy an 'image' of the cd in something like Nero and then use a 'No CD' crack when I want to play it. I looked at copying them properly but decided it required too much technical knowledge. :)

You need to create an ISO image of the original CD and then use that to create the copy. What generally happens is the copied disk will install but you will get the 'please insert the correct disk' message when you try to run it and this is where the No CD crack comes in.

Clone CD

This will make a 100% working copy of pretty much any original CD.

Clone CD as recommended by Hellraiser is excellent for protected audio CDs.
Can't see why games CDs should be any different.

CloneCD is actually developed for backing up software CDs, be it games, applications or whatever. Protected audio CDs are just a useful byproduct :) Just be aware that it can take a very long time to read the original disk, this speed depends on the drive you are using as some can rip the protection faster than others. Just be patient and sooner or later a working copy will pop out the other end :)
