No one is going to reach into your car and physically stop you switching them on.
i find i get an urge to get out and smash some peoples lights with a hammer

Great thread.
Insurers are in business for money, and will pursue the most direct course if an accident could be attributed to illegal headlamps.
It all depends on what's at stake..

My pet hate is people in front of me keeping their foot on the brake pedal waiting at traffic lights.
Big bright stop lights can be awful shining straight into my eyes, and I'v often though of getting out of the car and tapping on their window and asking them to set their handbrake and take their foot of the pedal.
Regards,
Mick.

try stopping with an extra 4 foot between you and the car in front, makes a lot of difference
I suggest you read what I wrote ...... properly.Uses illegal bulbs, complains about legal (if dippy) use of legal bulbs.
You're also not contravening anything in the Geneva Convention on Human Rights by using 100w bulbs, still doesn't make them legal....I'm not making any mistakes with respect to the HC and what should be done on the road.
I said that I am annoyed by people stopped in traffic with their footbrake on. The HC is quite specific on this subject. I also suggested that people should read it. There is no excuse for either.

Mick.
