General orange gt3 on ebay

as the title says i am looking into buying a punto gt and the orange gt3 on ebay looks in great condition . i am very interested in this car but want to get peoples opinions on the car before i make a move . to be honest i do not know anything about them and want to learn a bit about them before i buy one . any help would be appreciated

Hi Damien , I have had my gt for about 13 years and not had many problems .
petrol tank went rotten on the filler pipe where it joins the tank , it looked mint but water had got under the protective coating .
Rear swinging arm bushes , these should show up on the mot advisories .
New radiator , fuel pump & a few sensors .
I am no mechanic though but there are some guys on here with a wealth of knowledge about these cars and sure they will let you know ??

thanks for the reply steve . how many punto gts are left they do not seem to have the following like the r5 gt turbos .

on the how many left site there are 117 on the road and 227 on sorn , at the peak there were only around 2000 cars on the road , there were around 11000 5 turbos so that's probably why they have a bigger following , think the gt is still a rarer car though .

yes i agree steve going off them numbers the gt is the rarer car . it makes me want one even more

it needed the bonnet and front bumper re painting but for the age is a clean car . the guy said he got it in px 4 week ago . but it is the car that sold on ebay for £1920 has it had the reg plate back on .

i thought £3000 was more than fair for the car steve . but another will come along with a bit of luck sooner rather than later .

yeah I think it was a fair price too , if it needed a bit of paint work , keep looking ??
you never know he might get intouch if he can't sell it .
