Does he mix it 50/50 or put alternate tanks of each in? Does it need any mods to run like that? And how well does it run like that?

I'd run it 50/50 tank. Make sure you change fuel filter often when you first start using it as it will strip all the dino diesel gunk from your tank and fuel lines
Got a friend with a 406 non HDI diesel he runs it on pure veg oil runs a treat.
50/50 mix in same tank. only problem seems to be it smells like food, runs perfect

Very interesting trip to see the Pug. Bloke selling it couldn't seem to stop himself from insulting me every time I asked a question or made a comment. Car was a shed. The hunt goes on...

Just thought I'd close out the thread.
We managed to find a very nice low mileage, one owner, full service history Proton Persona 1.5i locally. I was quite surprised at how nice it was to drive and it's totally original. It also had a new MoT, new tyres all round and had just been serviced, including a new cam belt. The boy is very pleased and his old car is now on eBay and in the FF classifieds.
