I look forward to hearing from you Liam about the plugs and if you see any performance increase.

Pics would be nice as well :D

I hope you get ya plugs soon. And out of interest what leads are you running? I was thinking of upgrading to the Magnecor leads but I seem to remember they are a little on the pricey side.

Hope everything goes well with the overhaul mate :)

Overhaul on hold, will need to go to work and calm down before reporting back with the full story.

Brian, I run standard leads mate, would only replace them with uprated jobbies if the original ones went duff.

Here goes, Parcel from Buypartsby is lost in DHL limbo! What good is a tracking number when you can't track it? They didn't put my plugs in the box so they are coming seperate by royal mail, so they take ages likely.

Went to see my reconditioned rear radius arm at my local garage today, took it out the bag, the stub pin was all bent and the threads were f**ked, the shocker mount was elongated and out of shape and the supposed new bushes were perished! Absolute ****e!

Arm is being returned so now overhaul this week as I have no bloody parts!

RANT OVER!

Liam

EDIT, buypartsby parcels appeared today!

Here are the pics of the Iridium Spark Plugs!

The electrode is 0.4mm in diameter and can withstand 2500 degrees centigrade before it melts, gold melts at 1200 degrees centigrade! Thats why they are so bloody expensive then.

Hope your engine never runs that hot ;)

There is a high probability that the air fuel mixture will be somewhere near that temp (say 2000 deg C) just before it's ignited!!

Due to all the parts not managing to get here my overhaul is on hold till '05 so no plug results till then but tonight my Cinq sounded rough on start-up so fearing Head Gasket is away. All this after me saying it had been going well.

Merry Xmas Liam!!
