No, on Nav+ never full screen; the third of it on left side was taken up by compass/junction details/etc. Plus had the header on the top, so actual map was slightly reduced.

Maybe I am wrong - I have never seen Nav only, so not sure what details you get on that. I presumed it was only narrated directions.

Stuart,

On the left hand side you get an image roughly 3 centimetres wide by 4 centimetres tall showing the road junctions or a picture of a straight road with the distance to the next marker. The majority of the right hand side is taken up by the Radio station info or CD info etc.

Hi,

Ah, so what you get on Nav is the information we also get on Nav + i.e. details of next waypoint/junction. The info you get on the right is in our header bar, leaving a big space for a full colour map, zoomed in between 50yards [on version 5.4] and a full europe view.

Hopefully John K can enlighten us further.

For Nav+ that about sums it up. I've not seen Nav only in operation so can't comment on what 5.4 will do for you on a Nav system....

I have poor man's Nav only and the new software doesn't have any changes on it at all in terms on the road display. But the voice is way better.

Emailed my dealer earlier today and they said they would upgrade my software to 5.4 for me next time I am up there.

Hi,

My dealer fully acknowledges the 5.4 upgrade. Apparently they were on 5.33 [!], but following my recent visit, 5.4 has now been shipped to the dealers.

Mine is going to be done on 7th Feb. I want to be around whilst it is done, on my next free Saturday morning, because I want to also see the Diag2000 in operation.

Only joking, apparently it is quite a big change as you could upgrade previous version yourself, but with 5.31 they have to be done by the garage or you could mess up the computer. In terms of user options I don't think it makes a difference.

Hi,

Just looked at that voice command .pdf link that John 'K' mentioned a few weeks ago. It is still broken, but I came up with another link:

However, some of the 5 pages make reference to 5.3. No doubt 5.4 has added commands.
