Currently I have a Panda 'Dance' 903 and a 127 Palio - which is for sale if anyone's interested.

In reverse chronalogical order, I've had:
1996 Alfa 155 2.0 T Spark (fantastic car!)
1993 Fiat Tempra SW 2.0ie - wonderful family load lugger
1989 Fiat Tipo 1.6SXie - brilliant design, so roomy.
1981 Fiat 127 Sport - used this for Production Car Trials, in my opinion the best 127, 70bhp from 1049cc, Abarth big valve head, no torque but very powerful if you use the red line. Quicker than many bigger 'hot hatches', I remember a burnup with an Escort XR3i, the drivers face was a picture when I overtook him!
1983 Fiat Uno 70S
1981 Lancia Beta Spyder
1973 Fiat 132 1800
1980 Lancia Beta Coupe
1977 Fiat 128 3P - very quick for its size, great handling. Quicker 30-70 than a 2.0 Capri!!
I am continuing a family tradition of Fiat's, when I was a kid my Dad had an 1100, then 1100R, 124 Special and Special T, Grandfather had 850, Strada, Great Uncle 500, 126, 127.
My Dad still has 124 Spyder and over the last few years has had every type of 850 except a van!

Hallo, my first "Fiat" was Yugo 55 (I can't believe they were sold in GB)
After that i had Tipo 1.6 ie, Coupe 2.0 16v Plus, Tipo 1.4 ie, Uno 1.7D, Lancia Delta HF Turbo, and now i have Coupe 20 20vT Plus, Tipo GT 2.0 16vT and Ritmo 130TC

The Yugo series 45 (900cc), 55 (1100cc), 65 (1300cc) and 65Cabrio were based on the good old Fiat 127, and was sold in the UK as well.
The 1300 fuel injected 65 EFI was even sold in the USA, (slogan: "We Go In A Yugo!!!") was marketed as the follow up for the VW Beetle, but it lasted only a few years before the importer went bankrupt.
The Yugo Cabrio was a very handsome little cabrio, I don't think there were many made.
In Italy, the Yugo was sold as Innocenti Coral!!

And I still don't know what a 127 Palio is....???

OK, thanks, I din't know Fiat had used the name Palio before!
I thought the Brazilian Fiat W(orld) C(ar) P(roject) 178 was the first to be named "Palio".
As I never heard of a 127 Palio here in the Holland ( although the 127 was very popular!) I guess it was only named Palio in the UK?

What is a Fiat 127 Palio??

It was a mk2 127 which was either metalic brown or blue with a fabric sun roof and alloys. My list as follows:

1978 127 1050CL in white (New)
1979 Strada 65CL in Kent Green (New)
1980 Mirafiori CL in yellow (used)
1981 Supermirafiori in blue (used)
1983 X/19 VS in red/black (used)
1985 Uno 70 (new) in met silver (i think it was known as a SL)
1987 Uno 70SX in met brown (used)
1988 Regatta 85 Bianca in white (used)
1989 Uno Turbo ie in red (new)
1990 Croma ie in red (new)
1992 Fiorino in red (new)
1994 Punto Cabrio in midnight blue/ivory hood (new)
1996 Coupe 16V in Chemonix green (new)
1998 Bravo HGT in white (new)
2000 Punto HGT in broom yellow (new) I still have which is the longest ive ever owned a car but I love it!

Out of the above, the only real probs i've had was with the Supermirafiori (corrosion of both offside doors which Fiat replaced even though it was registered just prior to the introduction of the 6 year anti-corrosion warranty) and the Uno Turbo (seized turbo which was replaced under warranty although I had to wait a while and drive it around with the speed of a milkfloat!!) So I got NO complaints!!(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

Yes the Palio was top of the range with alloys and metallic paint (Bronze or Blue). Only the blue one had the sunroof as standard in case anyone was wondering - it was also slightly more expensive than the Sport back in 1979.

I guess this is where I try to remember some of my cars......

1979 127 1050CL (Horace) back in 1988 - my first car, and much loved........
1990 Tipo 1.4 DGT (from 1993) - fantastic and the digital dash was fab!
1998 Punto Sporting my only new car - now passed to my Mum & still going strong.

That was simple, then I got a little spare money, and Fiat fever struck.... Since then.....

Panda 4x4 Sisley F607 LBW (still owned)

Cinq Sporting R890SHN

Coupe 20V V53LGU (still owned)
Coupe 16V N303NGJ (still owned for spares!)

There must be a few missing, but it gives you some idea.......

1977 128 3p Berlinetta - Used to leave XR2's and XR3i's for dead!

1978 127 Sport- Racing Orange - Ditto (XR3i bit harder to shake tho!!)

1980 131 Sport Orange , Running resto I never finished it, sold it for….

1986 Strada 130TC, Road legal street-racer! Those 40’s sounded so sexy

1969 Fiat 850 Sport, Only true classic I ever owned. Original and real headturner and went like something off a chrome shovel!!

1997 Cinq Sporting- Total let-down, wouldn’t pull the skin off a rice-pudding!

1979 126, Red , bought it my future wife for her 21st birthday

1977 126 De-Ville , £15 dragged out of a garden&served me well for 6 months

1979 126 Blue, Owned it twice, defied its 20 odd BHP. Mate blew it up in the end!

1990 126 BIS, £50 with a dodgy reverse but otherwise mint, so cute

1979 127 1050CL. Never got it running right, sold in 3 days!

1980 127 Palio. True luxury. The Vanden Plas of Fiat!!!!

1979 127 Sport , Orange. Attempt at 40yrs old to regain my youth. Fun but noisy!!

1987 Panda 4x4 Sisley Grey, Bought from Stuart (N.Ire), Superb in the snow, embarressed £40k 4wd so called super offroaders

1991 Panda 4x4 Sisley Red, Needed a clutch , colour never inspired me though

1982 Panda 903cc .Wifes 2nd car, White, total reliability with crusty doors!

1984 Panda 903cc. Black , sold to brother in law for his 1st car. Served him well

1993 Panda 1000 CLX, Put Cinq alloys and little spots on, nice but didn’t use enough

1988 Uno 45 Bella, Blue Met with tilt/slide sunroof. Went like stink that one

1987 Uno 60S , Somebody gave it to me , can’t remember what happened to it?

1985 Uno 60S , Red , £70 from local auction, took me half way across Europe&back

1988 Croma Turbo i.e. Jesus that thing was bloody quick!!! Best £250 I ever spent

1999 Marea Weekend 115 ELX, Wifes present car. Had for 4 years , cannot fault it!

Also owned 18 or 19 X1/9’s too ,can’t be bothered to go into detail on all those but everything from a 1978 1300cc Lido thro to a 1990 Gran Finale. Can’t say enough good things about X1/9’s, Fiat didn’t know what a product that when they failed to develop it.

So there we have it 45 Fiats, and they are only the ones I can remember. Sure I’ve had a few more.
Never owned a 128 Saloon, 130, 132, 133,124,125, 500 , 600 , 850 Saloon or Spider, Tipo, Tempra, Punto, Coupe, Seincento. Unless somebody out there’s got something they want to sell????
